We want to address some confusion that has emerged as we move from the current version of CloseBot (referred to as “CloseBot Classic” in this article) to the launch of V2 (referred to as “CloseBot” in this article) and clarify an important update regarding account management.
TLDR; You can use both CloseBot Classic and CloseBot V2, but will have to buy another account within V2 if you do not want to migrate out of CloseBot Classic.
CloseBot vs. CloseBot Classic: Two Completely Different Products
First and foremost, it’s crucial to understand that CloseBot is not simply a new version of CloseBot Classic. These are two entirely separate products, built from the ground up with different architectures, features, and capabilities.
Key distinctions:
- No communication between platforms: CloseBot and CloseBot Classic operate independently and cannot share data or communicate with each other.
- One way migration to CloseBot: Due to the systems being distinct, a migration from CloseBot Classic to CloseBot is a one-time event and irreversible.
- Uncombinable billing structures: We are unable to allow you to have one account with CloseBot and maintain two products through that single account.
The Good News: Dual Account Option Now Available
Based on customer feedback and numerous requests, you can now maintain active accounts on both platforms simultaneously. This means:
✅ You can have a CloseBot Classic account AND a CloseBot account
✅ You can use the same email address for both accounts
✅ Each account requires its own separate subscription
✅ Both accounts operate completely independently
This flexibility allows you to:
- Continue using CloseBot Classic while exploring CloseBot’s new capabilities
- Re-build your AI Agents in V2 gradually at your own pace (without migrating)
- Maintain business continuity during any transition period
Important Future Considerations
While you now have the flexibility to maintain both accounts, please keep these critical points in mind:
CloseBot Classic Status:
- CloseBot Classic will not receive future updates, improvements, or new features
- Technical support for CloseBot Classic will be limited
- Security patches and critical bug fixes may be provided, but no feature enhancements
- CloseBot Classic is essentially in maintenance mode
CloseBot (V2) Development:
- CloseBot will receive continuous updates, improvements, and new features
- Full technical support and customer service
- Regular platform enhancements and capability expansions
- This is our primary development focus moving forward
Getting Started with Dual Accounts
If you currently have CloseBot Classic:
- Your existing account remains unchanged and fully functional
- DO NOT click the “migrate” button in your CloseBot Classic instance
- Create a new CloseBot account within V2 (you can use the same email address)
- Purchase a subscription within V2
- Begin exploring the new platform at your own pace, rebuilding your AI agents
If you’re new to our platforms:
