We owe a huge thank you to our founding members and early adopters for believing in CloseBot early. It has been incredible watching as you all grow! As a part of that thank you we promised we would not bill extra message costs to you, and we are sticking by that promise 🙂
You likely noticed that we stopped billing token costs as well when we updated our billing away from bring your own key. Even though we promised $0.002 per message in savings, we’ve given you 6x that since November 23rd, 2025.
There are changes coming June 30th 2026 that get us back to our original promise, and allows us to scale with you. Read more below.
What are Founding Members and Early Adopters
CloseBot has rewarded those who committed early and with continued support. There are two groups, each with different benefits. There are Early Adopters and Founding Members. The exact dates and details that make users elligible for this are below 👇
Early Adopters → Anyone who purchased and has never cancelled their account prior to January 1st 2024
Founding Members → Anyone who purchased and has never cancelled their account prior to January 1st 2025
What was the Original Promise?
The original promise for Early Adopters and Founding members included:
- Early access to features
- Access to select future features for free
- No message costs in addition to token costs
Previously, CloseBot required users to bring their own key. When V2 launched initially, CloseBot added a $0.002 charge per message for all users except early adopters and founding members. This was a charge on top of token costs (which averaged $0.01 per message) billed from the AI Providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.).
Since then, CloseBot went away from the bring your own key setup, in favor of a more reliable, more secure, and easier to estimate static $0.012 per message price. When we did this, we had no good way to bill agencies under founding member and early adopter categories at a different rate other than $0.00 per message. Because our focus was on platform features and reliability, we chose to gift you all message usage for free. This was a gift that went above and beyond the initial promise of $0.002 per message savings.
What is Changing?
We are returning to the promise of $0.002 per message in savings now that our team has the foundation of the platform established, and robust ways to handle billing. Here forward, founding members and early adopters on agency plans will be billed at a rate of $0.01 per message. Everyone else is billed at a rate of $0.012 per message.
We are able to maintain our original promise to you all, while allowing you to scale. See below.
Our original promise saved you approximately $0.002 per message compared to non-perk members.
After our November 2025 pricing update that removed token costs altogether, you benefited from $0.00 in message costs, saving $0.012 (6x our promised amount). Every message you’ve sent since November 2025 has been free.
On June 30th 2026, CloseBot is returning to our original promise. We are able to do this now that we have stronger infrastructure to track billing. We are giving you 50 days notice of this change to allow you plenty of time to adjust. This change will allow us to accommodate your massive growth as agencies 👏 This returning promise allows us to accommodate your continued growth, sustainably and without profiting (the original intent).
Make sure you load your CloseBot wallets and set up auto-top-up in the meantime so your system continues operation as expected on June 30th 2026 💪
The 100,000 Message Milestone
CloseBot updated service terms to better serve our larger accounts processing more volume. For anyone, including founding members and early adopters, processing over 100,000 messages over 30 rolling days, we will reach out about our enterprise plan.
Agencies in the agency plan must move to an enterprise plan when processing such a large amount of messages so we can continue to provide high reliability and elevated support. In addition, enterprise plans receive quarterly audits from our team, HIPAA coverage, video support option, dedicated account rep and exclusive office hours. Agent Node Unlocked Pricing
Agent Node is also billed at $0.012 per message for agencies, just like usual. However, when unlocking agent node settings, which increase our cost, the incurred number of messages increases. Learn more HERE.
Unlocking unlimited tools, thinking, and MAX mode, changes billing per message to message segments. We calculate a segment as $0.01 in cost to CloseBot, charging agencies $0.012 per segment. Early Adopters and Founding members are billed at $0.01 per message segment (the wholesale cost).
Since we calculate message segments of unlocked agent nodes at $0.01 in cost, you’re still paying wholesale costs for unlocked agent node usage.
Summary
Early bird gets the savings. That’s still true as we hold firm on our original promise, while allowing you to scale.
